Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Python/FastAPI Engineer to join a 100% on-site, Houston-based project. You will design and build RESTful APIs, work with AWS services (RDS, SQS, S3), and contribute to infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Argo.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of backend experience with Python and FastAPI, plus hands-on experience with AWS, REST APIs, and modern CI/CD practices, and is willing to relocate to Houston for the duration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Python and FastAPI fundamentals.
• Hands-on AWS with RDS, SQS, S3.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Houston, TX (required).
• Experience with Backend engineering (6+ years).
• Experience with Python (6+ years).
• Experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python framework.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).
• Experience with Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS).
• Experience with Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Argo.
