Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our backend-focused team. You will work on distributed systems that support solar energy operations, building reliable APIs and contributing to a modern CI/CD-driven development culture.

Design and implement RESTful APIs with Python and FastAPI, run in AWS (RDS, SQS, S3), and maintain infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Argo.

Qualifications

6+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong Python skills.
Hands-on experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python framework.
Comfort working in a containerized, cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes).
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
Bonus: Experience with React or other frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and build RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
Work with AWS services including RDS, SQS, and S3
Contribute to and maintain infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Argo
Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional engineering teams on technical design and delivery
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team rituals
