Job summary

WebCreek is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Houston, TX to design, build, and support enterprise data architecture and backend services. You will develop RESTful APIs with FastAPI, work with SQL and NoSQL databases, and design scalable ETL pipelines for complex data needs.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong Python skills, CI/CD familiarity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions for enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or enterprise data apps.
• Strong Python and REST API development background.
• Experience with FastAPI and SQL optimization.
• ETL design, event-driven data workflows, and CI/CD.
• Exposure to Elastic Stack for monitoring and logging.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support backend data services and APIs.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Architect enterprise data solutions to meet business needs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries across relational/non-relational stores.
• Design scalable ETL pipelines and event-driven workflows.
• Support CI/CD and automation with GitHub/Jenkins.
