Job summary

Smith in Houston, TX seeks a Facilities Engineer to oversee safe operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems across multiple locations. You will manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, read blueprints, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safety and reliability.

Requires at least five years in facilities maintenance with BAS knowledge and strong expertise in HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. A valid driver's license and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of BAS, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• OSHA training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain BAS and life-safety systems.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals to diagnose issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for service calls.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper documentation of work orders.
