Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer to lead design, operation, and maintenance of large-scale manufacturing plant mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, boilers, and cooling towers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years in facilities/mechanical engineering or related environments.
• Experience with HVAC systems, chilled water, heating, pumps, cooling towers.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering support for facility mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and other utilities.
• Lead engineering, design, modification, and optimization of mechanical systems and facility infrastructure.
• Develop engineering calculations, equipment specs, scopes of work, standards, and design docs.
• Evaluate existing systems for capacity, reliability, safety, and operation improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead capital improvements, equipment replacements, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Review drawings, specs, and contractor submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide oversight during equipment install, construction, startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Coordinate activities with facilities operations, maintenance, electrical, controls, EHS, and project teams.
• Develop preventive/predictive maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
