Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII in Houston is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Server Operations team. You will manage, secure, and improve our IT infrastructure, providing Level 2 support for Windows and Linux servers to keep systems reliable and available.

The role emphasizes virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Active Directory, monitoring, automation, and incident response, with opportunities to contribute to security hardening and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT or related field.
5–7 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
3+ years supporting large Windows Server and virtualization environments.
Experience with after-hours emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 support for Windows and Linux servers; troubleshoot issues.
Install, configure, maintain, and optimize servers across OSes.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DNS and PKI services.
Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities; assist patching and hardening.
Troubleshoot incidents; perform root-cause analysis and post-incident follow-up.
Monitor systems; respond to alerts; automate routine tasks.
Support virtualization, backup, and recovery processes.
Manage cloud infrastructure, Entra ID Connect, RBAC and Site Recovery.
Contribute to infrastructure projects and upcoming tech deployments.
Participate in maintenance windows and on-call rotation.
