Job summary

You will advise on regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement, and sustainability initiatives, support internal investigations, and counsel on complex transactions with environmental components. JD required; 5+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Sophisticated environmental and health and safety experience with regulatory proceedings and enforcement.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience for Counsel position.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing deadlines; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attorney in global HSE law group.
• Oversee a global docket of environmental and health and safety regulatory, administrative, and enforcement matters.
• Support internal HSE investigations/audits and manage outside counsel.
• Advise on pertinent environmental policy, regulatory, sustainability, and legislative developments.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on environmental components of complex commercial and real estate transactions.
• Provide counsel to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations under major environmental laws globally.
