Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own enterprise backup and data protection platforms, including Cohesity, Commvault, and NetBackup. You will lead resiliency design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive high-impact reliability initiatives across the organization.

In Enterprise Technology – Infrastructure Platforms, you will shape reliability culture, manage DR operations, and guide incident response while ensuring security and compliance of critical assets.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in site reliability concepts.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms including Cohesity, Commvault and NetBackup.
• Proficient in observability and telemetry with tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Strong leadership and mentorship in a large-scale data protection environment.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS).

Responsibilities

• Lead site reliability culture and practices, share knowledge via internal forums.
• Oversee backup policy configuration, DR operations, and platform management across Cohesity, Commvault, NetBackup.
• Drive backup, retention, and recoverability initiatives with telemetry and annual certification oversight.
• Improve reliability and performance of data protection apps using data-driven analytics.
• Collaborate to define service levels, SLIs, and error budgets with stakeholders.
• Serve as incident lead for data protection applications and minimize financial impact.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
• Promote reuse of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software lifecycle.
