Job summary

Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide the Space Flight Systems team in Houston, TX. You will lead a team of Electrical Engineers, perform hands-on circuit and embedded system design, and drive hardware development, testing, and integration for spaceflight missions.

You will manage project budgets/schedules, collaborate with vendors and customers, and ensure ISS/MISSE payload requirements are met while delivering on time and on orbit.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card)
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university/college
• 8+ years in electrical and embedded circuit/system design with high-spec hardware
• 5+ years spaceflight/aerospace hardware development
• 3+ years of project engineering experience
• Hands-on leadership of electrical engineers in a technical environment
• Proficient in C, C++, and other common programming languages
• Knowledge of digital circuit design and embedded system design

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Electrical Engineering team and perform design reviews
• Remain hands-on while providing technical leadership to engineers
• Design circuits and embedded systems for spaceflight hardware
• Program embedded systems for spaceflight payload interfaces and ground support equipment
• Ensure MISSE/ISS payloads meet requirements and are delivered on time
• Coordinate with vendors, integrate with MISSE payloads, and support testing and troubleshooting
• Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules
• Support on-orbit operations, manufacturing, and environmental testing
