Job summary

The Subsidy Specialist works within the Leased Housing department, handling administrative duties for the housing portfolio, including data entry, income certification, lease drafting, and compliance reporting.

The role requires a 2–3 year admin background, an associate degree, and familiarity with HUD/Section 8 programs. Occasional local travel and a strong commitment to the mission are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree and 2–3 years of administrative experience.
• Knowledge of HUD/Section 8/Massachusetts Rental Voucher programs a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines.
• Experience with data entry and report generation.

Responsibilities

• Keep occupancy, vacancy, turnover and related data current.
• Assist Leased Housing Manager with rent collection activities.
• Track and complete income certification and annual recertifications.
• Draft leases and housing assistance payment contracts.
• Assist with data entry of compliance reports in Excel.
• Coordinate inspections and access to units.
• Monitor delinquent rents and assist in collections.
• Prepare monthly revenue or monitoring reports.
