Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Housing Supervisor for Waterbury Housing Services in Waterbury, CT to oversee shelter staff and provide direct case management to help families transition from homelessness to permanent housing.

Responsibilities include developing housing plans, coordinating with HUD/ESG/CT RRP, maintaining HMIS data, reporting to funders, and ensuring 24-hour staffing coverage. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• A degree in human services or a related field and two years of case management or at least five years of case management experience is required.
• Two years of administrative and supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Experience collaborating with service providers and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strength-based, individualized housing plans for participants.
• Assist participants in locating and securing housing and educate on leases.
• Attend workshops and ensure HUD/ESG and CT RRP compliance.
• Maintain HMIS data, compile monthly and annual reports, and complete staff evaluations.
• Be on-call for staff emergencies and maintain 24-hour staffing coverage.
• Coordinate with community partners to connect clients with resources and services.
