Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Housing Stabilization Specialist to support residents in maintaining tenancies and preventing eviction. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, Housing First principles, and collaboration with case managers and property management to coordinate services.

You will conduct home visits, develop stabilization and budgeting plans, and maintain detailed documentation while promoting independent living skills and tenant rights.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized housing stabilization services to help residents maintain tenancies and prevent eviction.
• Develop Housing Retention Plans, Behavioral Agreements, housekeeping plans, and rent repayment plans.
• Conduct monthly home visits to assess housing conditions and tenancy risks.
• Coach residents on independent living skills including budgeting and lease responsibilities.
• Engage residents using Trauma-informed care, Housing First, and motivational interviewing approaches.
• Collaborate with Property Management and other teams to support housing retention.
• Maintain accurate documentation and program records.
• Monitor progress and assist with program reporting.
• Coordinate services with Case Managers, Clinical staff, and community partners.
• Participate in team meetings and required trainings.
