Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul CARES is seeking a Peer Mentor to provide outreach and pre-screening for the Rapid Rehousing program in Orlando, FL. The role involves peer support, mentoring, and coaching to help program participants access housing and community resources.

You will work with the Case Management team to coordinate screenings and ensure participants receive appropriate services, while documenting progress and maintaining program quality across our homeless services portfolio.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, write and understand English.
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations in a service setting.
• Ability to organize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Experience in housing or homelessness services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
• Pre-screen applicants for eligibility and coordinate with Case Management.
• Provide peer support, mentoring and navigation to community resources.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate services.
