Virginia Housing Development Authority is seeking a Special Housing Manager to coordinate partners, stakeholders, and state agencies in support of training, technical assistance, and compliance oversight. The role guides leadership and leads a team translating operations and service insights into statewide housing stability strategies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supportive housing or related fields, strong communication and analytical skills, and experience in developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in human services, public administration, social work, urban studies, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in supportive housing, service coordination, or behavioral health/housing systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment in complex situations.
• Ability to develop and deliver training, technical assistance, and capacity-building resources.
• Skilled in interpreting federal and state regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations.
• A valid Driver’s License
• Previous people management experience.
