Job summary

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks Housing Coordinators to ensure Permanent Supportive Housing programs maintain fidelity to best practice standards and help individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of institutionalization achieve positive outcomes.

The role involves statewide housing initiatives, contract management, training and technical assistance to program providers, partnership development, and program policy guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Virginia's public behavioral health, developmental disability, or housing systems.
• Experience managing contracts with performance monitoring and compliance oversight.
• Experience applying evidence-based practices in housing and translating to guidance and training.
• Experience collaborating with private sector property managers and landlords on housing partnerships.
• Experience administering rental assistance programs and applying eligibility criteria.
• Proficiency with data interpretation for program performance monitoring.

Job description

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks Housing Coordinators to ensure Permanent Supportive Housing programs maintain fidelity to best practice standards and help individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of institutionalization achieve positive outcomes. The role involves statewide housing initiatives, contract management, training and technical assistance to program providers, partnership development, and program policy guidance. This is a full-time salaried position based in Richmond at the Central Office.

Key qualifications:

• Experience working within Virginia's public behavioral health, developmental disability, or housing systems and navigating interagency processes
• Experience executing, managing, and administering contracts with provider performance monitoring and compliance oversight
• Experience applying evidence-based practices in supportive housing and translating them into program guidance and training
• Experience collaborating with private sector property managers and landlords on public-private housing partnerships
• Experience administering rental assistance programs for low-income households and applying eligibility criteria and subsidy procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage and interpret data for program performance monitoring
