Job summary

Downstreet is seeking a Housing Services & Operations Coordinator to support guests at Speranza Inn in Central Vermont. You will provide individualized case management, coordinate with community partners, and help with site operations and on-call leadership when the Director is unavailable.

You will balance relationship-based work with documentation, problem-solving, and trauma-informed, client-centered service delivery to promote housing stability and access to supportive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience providing case management or direct services to people experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
• Ability to coordinate day-to-day operations and provide leadership or staff guidance when needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other documentation systems.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, equity-focused, client-centered services.

Responsibilities

• Guest Case Management & Housing Stability: engage guests, assess needs, and develop service plans.
• Coordinate with community service agencies and document case management.
• Assist guests with housing applications, eligibility documents, and related paperwork.
• Provide information and referrals to services and resources.
• Advocate for guests while upholding Speranza Inn policies.
• Deliver education, coaching, and support for self-sufficiency and housing transitions.
• Coordinate guest intake/exit with State/local agencies and Speranza Inn staff.
• Support housing moves and continuity of services.
