Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) seeks a Housing Specialist to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Permanent Supportive Housing, promoting housing stability and long-term success through Coordinated Entry.

Using Housing First principles and a trauma-informed, participant-centered approach, you will help clients maintain housing, address barriers, engage landlords, and connect to services and resources, with a mix of office and community-based

Formación

• Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Experience working with individuals or families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or crises preferred.
• Experience with chronic homelessness and behavioral health needs strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Permanent Supportive Housing, landlord engagement, tenancy supports, or resource coordination preferred.
• HMIS or comparable database experience desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain housing-focused service plans with participants.
• Assist participants with maintaining housing and addressing tenancy issues.
• Support participants with lease requirements, landlord communication, recertifications, inspections, and other ongoing housing responsibilities.
• Coordinate rental assistance and housing-related financial supports in accordance with PSH program and funder guidelines.
• Collaborate with landlords, property managers, and community partners to support successful tenancies and resolve housing-related concerns.
