Job summary

Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington is seeking a Bertha's Place Case Manager in Vancouver, WA to support residents exiting homelessness through housing stability plans and compassionate case management.

Responsibilities include assessing housing needs, developing action plans, maintaining records, and collaborating with shelter staff; candidates should have an AA in social services or 2 years shelter experience, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• AA in a human or social services field, or 2 years of shelter generalist experience.
• Excellent inter-personnel and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and database experience.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; culturally competent service delivery.
• Pass required background clearances prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing needs and barriers using Motivational Interviewing and engagement.
• Develop and initiate housing stability plans with client-centered goals.
• Provide case management to assist residents in obtaining housing.
• Keep accurate case notes, participate in weekly meetings, and report status.
• Attend weekly team meetings and other required meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
