Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee in New York is seeking a housing-focused case manager to provide follow-up services for one year to former clients placed into housing and to liaise with NY/NY Housing providers. The role includes facilitating psycho-educational groups and placing clients in housing.

You will manage a caseload of current and aftercare clients, provide emergency first aid/CPR when needed, and perform related duties as assigned, contributing to community stability and client well-being.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred; HS diploma/GED required.
• Minimum two years experience working with homeless, mentally ill, or MICA population.
• Knowledge of the NY/NY housing system; basic computer literacy; CPR training or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Assist housing team in providing follow up services for one year to former clients placed into housing to ensure successful transition.
• Act as liaison between the program and NY/NY Housing providers.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups for current and former clients.
• Assist in placing clients in housing.
• Provide comprehensive case management and services to a caseload of current clients.
• Provide case management services to caseload of aftercare clients.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
