Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Housing Specialist to support the ACCS Westfield team. You will oversee housing needs, coordinate with DMH and landlords, and ensure compliance with housing documentation requirements.

This role focuses on helping individuals with mental health needs obtain stable, affordable housing within the ACCS Westfield catchment area, while benefiting from BHN’s strong mission and comprehensive benefits package.

With deep roots in Western Massachusetts and a growing presence in communities throughout the state, we are currently seeking a Housing Specialist to join our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) team and help individuals achieve stable, independent housing.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee all components and documentation related to housing needs within the ACCS Westfield Program.
  • Coordinate with DMH to arrange annual inspections of all ACCS licensed properties, including residences and DMHRA subsidized apartments.
  • Schedule and verify completion of all repairs and construction generated from DMH annual inspections.
  • Work with local housing authorities and landlords to submit lease extensions and requests for rental increases for ACCS Westfield licensed properties.
  • Consult with ACCS staff to provide housing information and assist individuals served in locating stable, affordable housing within the ACCS Westfield catchment area.
  • Ensure compliance with all housing documentation requirements.
  • Provide a range of housing options as treatment settings sensitive to age-related and individual needs.
  • Participate in ACCS team meetings, staff meetings, and supervision as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience managing affordable housing and/or housing supports.
  • Minimum of two years of prior experience working directly with individuals with mental health needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable coordinating with landlords, housing authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
