Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge is seeking a Housing & Social Services Director to lead a multi‑disciplinary team in moving neighbors from homelessness to housing stability.

The role sets clinical and ethical standards, oversees case management, coordinated entry, and permanentsupportive housing, and partners with healthcare, housing providers, and community agencies. The position reports to the Chief Services Officer and emphasizes staff development, program optimization, and data‑driven

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE‑accredited program (DSW/PhD welcome).
• At least five years of progressively responsible social work experience with two years post‑MSW.
• Two+ years of supervisory or program leadership experience.
• Trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, housing‑focused practices; cross‑provider coordination.
• Knowledge of housing, healthcare, behavioral health, benefits, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of case managers, housing staff, and social work interns; set expectations and supervise regularly.
• Provide or coordinate training on trauma‑informed care and mental/behavioral health; manage field instruction under CSWE standards.
• Oversee programs and build pathways to housing; monitor budgets and grant compliance.
• Develop partnerships to expand access to housing, healthcare, and employment; represent SVDP in community coalitions.
• Ensure confidentiality, PHI protection, and HMIS data accuracy; audit records for HUD and grant requirements.
