Job summary

Step Up Housing Services seeks a Generalist to provide housing services to homeless individuals within the Sacramento TBRA program. You will conduct outreach, screen eligibility, and support long-term housing assistance through coordinated services.

Responsibilities include intake processing, unit searches, and collaboration with service coordinators to place clients in HUD TBRA housing. Prior experience with homelessness and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with people who experience homelessness or mental illness.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
Experience with intake, enrollment, and documentation (HMIS/Welligent) preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Provide outreach to referred homeless individuals and screen for TBRA eligibility.
Assist with housing applications, unit identification, and relocation.
Coordinate lease signings and inspections with property managers.
Document services in HMIS/Welligent within 48 hours of client contact.
