South Middlesex Opportunity Council, Inc. is seeking a Housing Search Coordinator to assist individuals and families in their housing search journey, including subsidy applications and workshop delivery.

Responsibilities include building landlord relationships, maintaining housing unit lists, and coordinating client intake data while protecting confidentiality and meeting program requirements. Hybrid work is allowed, and the role entails a 35-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Two years relevant work experience in social services or housing services.
• Knowledge of landlord/tenant and homebuyer issues preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and Portuguese strongly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing search assistance to clients and assist with subsidy applications.
• Develop relationships with local landlords and maintain updated unit lists.
• Conduct ongoing workshops to train advocates, clients and SMOC staff on housing topics.
• Attend outreach events and network with providers to promote HCEC services.
• Manage a caseload of 25-35 individuals and families while delivering housing search support.
• Maintain accurate client records and enter required data in CMS portal.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with program requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
