Job summary

SMOC's Housing and Shelter program in Framingham seeks a Housing Search Coordinator to assist individuals and families in their housing search, build relationships with local landlords, research options, and implement educational workshops.

The role manages a caseload of 25–35, collaborates with the HCEC team, attends outreach events, and ensures confidentiality and compliance with funder requirements; hybrid work is allowed up to 20% remote, with Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Two years of housing or social services experience.
• Strong English communication; bilingual preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing search assistance to clients, including subsidy application support and updated housing information.
• Develop and conduct ongoing workshops on SMOC services, Affordable Housing, Fair Housing, and Tenant rights.
• Attend outreach events and network with partners to promote HCEC services and resources.
• Assess family needs with HCEC to determine eligibility for short-term financial assistance and rapid rehousing.
• Manage a caseload of 25-35 individuals/families and maintain accurate client records.
