Lee County Government is hiring a Housing Resource Coordinator to identify and secure safe, affordable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The role emphasizes landlord relationships, housing placement, and inspections to meet HUD HQS and NSPIRE standards.

The position requires knowledge of housing markets, renter rights, and barriers to housing, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in social services or a similar field.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• HQS certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or another commonly spoken community language.
• Familiarity with Coordinated Entry Systems (CES) and Continuum of Care (CoC) programs.

Responsibilities

• Build housing opportunities by maintaining positive landlord relationships and explaining program benefits.
• Connect clients to suitable housing options and act as liaison between clients and landlords.
• Conduct HQS/NSPIRE inspections to ensure HUD safety and housing quality standards.
• Assist landlords in becoming approved vendors with Lee County.
• Support housing stability with budgeting tools and community referrals.
