Job summary

Lee County Government in Florida is seeking a Housing Resource Coordinator to identify and secure safe, affordable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The role combines housing coordination with property inspections to ensure HUD HQS/NSPIRE compliance.

You will build relationships with landlords, screen rental opportunities, coordinate placements, conduct inspections, and support long-term housing stability through collaboration with case management and community

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent; if not, two years of relevant work experience may substitute.
• Two years of work experience in social services or a related field are required.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; HQS certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days; experience with homelessness housing.
• Familiarity with Coordinated Entry Systems (CES) and Continuum of Care (CoC) programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build Housing Opportunities by developing and maintaining positive relationships with landlords and property managers.
• Connect clients to suitable housing options and act as a liaison throughout the placement process.
• Conduct HQS/NSPIRE inspections to ensure HUD safety and housing quality; document findings and coordinate repairs.
• Support housing stability by providing resources, referrals, and coordination with case management to sustain long-term housing.
