Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul CARES in Sebring, FL seeks a Housing Navigator to identify and place clients in affordable housing. You will coordinate landlord outreach, housing searches, lease negotiations and inspections to ensure compliance with HUD standards.

The role involves liaison work between tenants, landlords and case managers, plus data management in HMIS. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience with housing programs or homeless populations is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in property management is preferred.
• Experience serving homeless populations is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage landlords to develop affordable housing reserves.
• Coordinate Housing Quality Standards inspections.
• Maintain liaison between agency, case manager, landlord and client.
• Search for housing opportunities and negotiate leases.
• Ensure HUD standard compliance and document outcomes.
• Represent the agency at community functions as directed.
• Maintain HMIS data and other required records.
