Job summary

Association of Minnesota Counties is seeking a Housing Rehab Coordinator in Rochester, MN. The role coordinates housing rehabilitation programs, manages grants and loans, and ensures compliance with plans and codes while supporting a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Minimum qualifications include a degree in architecture, engineering, construction science or related field with 1 year of related experience, or an associate degree with 3 years, or a combination totaling five years.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements include: degree in architecture/engineering/construction or related field with 1 year of related experience, or an associate degree with 3 years of experience, or a 5-year combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance required; valid driver's license and clean record in last 3 years.
• Knowledge of housing rehabilitation practices, building codes, and ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations of property rehabilitation programs, community block grants, and rehabilitation of properties.
• Collaborate with property owners in designated rehab areas, using HUD grants, loans and subsidies.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and bid processes; inspect work for compliance with plans and codes.
• Write grant and loan agreements and assist with applications for additional funding.
• Prepare summaries with photos, cost analysis, and maintain case records.
• Train staff on documentation and processes and handle related duties as assigned.
