Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major high-rise residential refurbishment and capital investment projects, ensuring safety and compliance. You will manage programmes, budgets and risks while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging residents throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen and experience with NEC/JCT contracts, delivering complex projects in occupied settings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering high-value, complex high-rise construction or refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, fire safety requirements and statutory compliance within residential buildings.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage project programmes, budgets, risks and contractor performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, consultants, contractors and senior leaders.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, surveyors and specialist consultants, to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience, ideally within NEC and/or JCT environments, with a focus on quality, safety and value for money.
