Job summary

Housing Authority of Baltimore City is seeking a Program Specialist II to provide case management for HCVP applicants and participants, determine eligibility, perform move-in and recertifications, and maintain accurate records according to HUD rules.

Under supervision, you will support client communications, complete data entry, manage caseloads, and assist with verification, rent calculations, and program reporting while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a business or social service-related degree.
• At least one year of experience in low-income housing, preferably with the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Performs eligibility determinations under HUD guidelines and HABC policies.
• Maintains caseload, data entry, and records; handles complex eligibility, verification, and rent determinations.
• Communicates with applicants, landlords, and agencies; provides information on housing programs and completes contract work.
