Job summary

Abode is seeking a Program Manager to oversee housing programs in San Mateo County, San Mateo, CA. The role emphasizes leadership, contract oversight, and collaboration with county agencies to deliver stable housing options for homeless individuals and families.

You will supervise teams, manage public contracts over $1M, monitor outcomes, and ensure compliance with housing regulations. On-site work schedule and a strong focus on data-driven program improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Sociology required.
• 2 years of professional experience in social work or related fields; rental housing program experience preferred.
• 2 years managing complex contracts in excess of $1M; budget and reporting experience desired.
• Valid CA driver’s license with vehicle, insurance and clean DMV record.
• Flexible schedule; willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to all Abode Services programs under this umbrella.
• Manage multiple housing programs and cultivate community partner relationships to provide housing.
• Act as primary liaison with County and City departments and partners.
• Supervise Housing Services Coordinators and Housing Specialists.
• Develop, implement, and monitor housing rental programs for homeless households.
• Oversee inventory of housing units secured via direct lease contracts.
• Prepare and review reports on rent, subsidies, occupancy, and program eligibility.
