Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Housing Support Policy and Provider Training Specialist to shape and apply HSP policy, train providers, and oversee quality assurance within HHSSA Housing Support. You will develop and modify policies, ensure provider training, and coordinate across state government to support homelessness prevention for people with disabilities and older adults.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of advisory or strategic-level experience in government or non-profit housing-related programs.
• Experience in developing and presenting training material in various formats and accessibility needs.
• Contract management and/or basic financial management/budgeting practices.
• Understanding of eligibility, payment, and tracking systems (MAXIS, MMIS, HMIS).
• Knowledge of program design, policy development, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in initiating, tracking, and completing project work.

Responsibilities

• Leads HSP policy development, interpretation, and quality assurance to meet program standards.
• Trains internal and external partners, develops best practices and standards.
• Develops training materials for new and existing providers.
• Coordinates county/tribal meetings and provides policy guidance.
• Provides technical assistance on request and manages selected projects.
