Job summary

Brown University seeks an Assistant Director, Housing Operations & Projects to overseegraduate housing software and workflows. You will manage the StarRez system to ensure occupancy and seamless integration with billing and campus databases.

The role reports to Residential Life and collaborates with OIT and finance to troubleshoot data issues during high-volume selection periods. This is a fixed-term position ending June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in residential life, housing assignments, systems management, or other relevant fields.
• Experience working with StarRez and/or other housing management systems.
• Data management and analysis skills required.
• Advanced administrative experience in StarRez (including Report Fuel, Dashboards, and Portal X) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational integrity and workflow efficiency of graduate housing.
• Assist with the housing lottery for 3,100+ students and placement of 1,800+ first-year students.
• Integrate housing assignments, billing, and campus partner databases within StarRez.
• Provide technical backing for all selection cycles (graduate and undergraduate).
• Collaborate with Associate Director to support special housing processes.
