Job summary

Abode is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to secure housing opportunities for homeless households in Alameda County. You will cultivate landlords, pursue multi-unit rentals, and perform extensive housing search and outreach to build move-in-ready inventory.

You’ll coordinate with county program efforts, negotiate holds, oversee HQS-related steps, and support client move-ins with landlords and housing teams to meet participant needs and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or real estate license or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of housing field experience with knowledge of local market.
• Valid CA driver's license, clean DMV record, and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an inventory of housing opportunities for participants.
• Conduct extensive landlord outreach to recruit landlords and secure units.
• Coordinate with county program efforts and attend outreach events.
• Pursue multis-unit rental opportunities and negotiate holds.
• Work with landlords and housing teams to support move-ins and turnover.
• Ensure unit postings meet participant needs, including accessibility.
• Maintain file compliance and assist with inspections and regulatory paperwork.
