Job summary

Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga seeks a Tompkins Residential Assistant to provide operational and administrative support for transitional housing. You will oversee rent collection, purchasing, and coordination with the housing team to maintain a stable living environment for residents.

Required are an associate degree in human services or related field and at least 2 years’ experience in residential settings.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in human services or related field.
• Experience in residential settings preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects of housing, including rent collection and paying bills for all site locations.
• Track rent payments and DSS applications related to rent assistance.
• Purchase household and office supplies and coordinate related purchases.
• Support the Residential Director with invoicing and financial documentation.
• Coordinate administrative tasks for housing operations and quarterly reports for funders.
