Housing Operations, a division of Auxiliary & Business Services (A&BS), is seeking candidates for the position of Manager. This role supports housing operations by overseeing daily activities within assigned buildings, directing staff, and ensuring effective operations, resource use, and excellence in Custodial, Maintenance, Service, Safety, and Teamwork.
This is an on-campus, non-telecommuting position.
Working with a diverse workforce, the manager will ensure a well-maintained, safe, and secure living environment for students and guests, supporting at least 50 technical service employees across various housing options for over 3,500 students, with supervision of 8-15 employees in 3-4 buildings housing 600-1,000 residents. All employees are expected to embody Penn State's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Excellent communication skills, good judgment, multitasking ability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential.
Minimum: Associate's degree plus four years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination. APPA credentials (EFP or CEFP) are preferred but not required.
Auxiliary & Business Services supports thirteen units, including Housing & Food Services, Culinary Support, and others, providing essential services across the university.
