Job summary

Impact NW in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Housing Specialist II to provide intensive, community-based social work services to individuals and families facing homelessness or housing instability. You will screen, assess, house-search, and support participants toward long-term stability within a Housing First framework.

The role involves coordination with health, mental health, and social services, landlord engagement, and thorough HMIS documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in human services, housing navigation, or case management.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred; equivalent experience possible.
• Experience with housing stability and client-centered approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Screen, intake, and assess clients for housing placement and services.
• Coordinate with healthcare, mental health, and social services for comprehensive support.
• Engage clients using Housing First and trauma-informed practices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landlords and property managers.
• Ensure timely documentation in HMIS and funder data systems.
