Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc. is seeking a housing specialist to manage client caseloads, meet with clients regularly, and maintain complete clinical files and reports.

You will coordinate housing interviews, secure entitlements, and liaise with landlords and external agencies to facilitate placements. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to facilitate group discussions.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is highly valued.
• Knowledge of entitlements and housing processes; CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned case load, meeting clients regularly and keeping files and reports up to date.
• Engage clients in a client-centered approach, provide housing-related referrals, and track housing placements.
• Coordinate moves with landlords and agencies; liaise with DHS and other providers to facilitate housing.
• Provide housing retention services after placement and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
