Job summary

Mercy House is seeking a Navigation Supervisor in Ventura/Oxnard to support and supervise a team of Navigators while maintaining a small caseload. You will guide needs assessments, housing plans, advocacy, and trauma-informed client services in partnership with the Regional Director.

The role requires strong leadership, crisis intervention, and collaboration across shelter operations to ensure high-quality case management and effective resource referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with homeless individuals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is of significant value.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 5-7 Navigators and meet clients as needed.
• Provide leadership to the Navigation team and support mission/values.
• Apply harm reduction approaches to client-centered services.
• Document case files accurately in Cal Optima Connect and other systems.
• Lead team meetings and 90-day/probation reviews as required.
• Coordinate training and orientations for Navigators and staff.
