Job summary

National Health Foundation is seeking a Part-Time Housing Navigator in Ventura, CA to provide direct housing crisis assistance and intensive case management. The role involves coordinating with housing authorities, social services, and landlords to secure permanent housing and implement housing plans for guests.

The position requires an Associate degree, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver’s license, with a 20–25 hour workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred and a minimum of three years of experience in social services.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with acceptable insurance.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (Section 8, VASH, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial meetings and assessments to evaluate housing needs and barriers.
• Connect guests to housing resources and subsidy programs.
• Develop Individual Action Plans with guests and assist in accessing services.
• Maintain housing stabilization services, budgeting, and landlord engagement.
• Manage a caseload of 20 or more and coordinate with multiple programs.
