Job summary

Caltech is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day maintenance for Institute housing, including apartments and student housing. You will support renovations, respond to repair calls, and ensure a safe, clean living environment for over 1700 units.

This is an Organizational Critical position requiring timely, professional service. You may perform painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other trades, with weekend or after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use iOS devices.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services for institute housing, including apartments, student houses, and single family homes.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces; handle drywall repairs.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations; address water and gas pipes.
