Job summary

California Institute of Technology in Pasadena seeks a full-time Housing Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day maintenance for institute housing units, including apartments and student housing. You will respond to service/repair calls, assist with projects, and ensure a safe, clean living environment for over 1700 units.

This is an Organizational Critical position with potential weekend or after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use iOS devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services for housing units including rehab, renovation, and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Perform interior and exterior painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and HVAC related tasks.
• Assist with move-ins/outs and inspections of housing properties.
• Maintain knowledge of unit properties and their characteristics.
