Bremerton Housing Authority is seeking a Housing Assistant I to provide front-desk customer service and clerical support for Housing staff at 100% on-site location in Bremerton, WA. The role reviews documents for completeness and assists with data entry and reporting tasks.

The position is full-time, with a Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:00PM schedule, non-exempt status, and union representation. Starting hourly rate aligns with Grade 25, Step 1, and ranges to the full hourly range.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ years in customer service with face-to-face contact.
• Computer skills: Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the reception desk and direct calls.
• Assist customers with RentCafe.
• Audit documents for accuracy and completeness to determine acceptability.
• Enter new applicants into YARDI with Housing staff support.
• Keep records of customer interactions and actions taken.
• Open, sort, and distribute mail and email responses to routine inquiries.
