Job summary

Pathways Vermont is seeking a Housing Coordinator to join the Washington and Addison Counties team. The role supports permanent supportive housing with landlords, tenants, and service teams to secure and retain housing for individuals facing homelessness and mental health challenges.

The position requires travel, in-person work in Washington and Addison Counties, and full-time hours with a 35–40 hour weekly schedule. A $2,000 hiring bonus is available and included in benefits.

Qualifications

• Comparable work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with housing laws and housing subsidy programs preferred.
• Comfort initiating new relationships and negotiations.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work semi-flexible hours and travel.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain information related to participant’s housing history including income history and rental history.
• Support PSH clients to identify housing with long term subsidies.
• Work with service teams to house families with short term subsidies.
• Locate vacant apartments and support clients in applying.
• Negotiate with landlords and educate them about Pathways’ contracts.
• Develop networks of landlords to expand affordable rental units.
• Meet with clients and service team to discuss housing needs and expectations.
• Provide housing counseling and act as liaison between client and landlord.
• Oversee lease ups, move-ins, and inspections per Housing Quality Standards.
