Job summary

Snohomish County is seeking a Community Services Counselor Resource Navigator to work with households experiencing homelessness to resolve housing crises. The role emphasizes client interviews, referrals, and maintaining detailed records in a collaborative team setting.

The ideal candidate has experience with low-income or homeless populations, a commitment to equity, and the ability to build relationships with clients and community staff. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with homeless or at-risk populations.
• Washington State Driver's License (unrestricted except vision) before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients, assess needs, determine eligibility for programs.
• Assist clients in accessing services and make referrals; monitor progress.
• Provide guidance and emotional support to help clients resolve housing barriers.
• Maintain contacts with social and health service agencies to develop resources.
