Job summary

The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida seeks an Access Coordinator who serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking shelter or housing support. You will conduct triage, explore diversion options, and connect clients to community resources.

You will document interactions in HMIS within one business day, collaborate with Housing Programs and Outreach teams, and help ensure timely, coordinated support while following organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred when accompanied by relevant experience.
• Experience in diversion, case management, or social services for homelessness or housing.
• Knowledge of community resources and public assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for shelter, diversion, or housing support seekers.
• Conduct triage and explore diversion options to avoid shelter where possible.
• Conduct screenings and intake assessments for eligibility.
• Provide information and referrals to community resources and crisis support.
• Document interactions and service transactions in HMIS within one business day.

Education

Associate’s degree in human services, social work, or related field
