Position Title: House Person
Immediate Supervisor: Executive Housekeeping Manager
Major Function
- Responsible for the proper cleaning of rooms, halls, offices, and all public spaces; light maintenance duties and servicing guest needs.
Essential Functions
- Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.
- Clean and inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and that all areas are guest ready.
- Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Deliver linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.
- Collect trash throughout the hotel including: room attendant's carts, vending areas, offices, trash receptacles, and restrooms.
- Respond to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g., linens, cots, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Shampoo carpets, strip and wax VCT floors, and steam clean ceramic tile throughout the hotel regularly.
- Assist guests with front door and unloading baggage from vehicles.
- Help with minor maintenance tasks like cleaning filters, replacing light bulbs, checking pool chemicals, plunging toilets, changing batteries, etc.
- Support housekeeping and laundry operations as needed.
- Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with guests in English to provide the expected service level.
- Ensure meeting rooms are set up, clean, and ready for guest use.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; push and pull 100 pounds.
- Wear proper uniform at all times following appearance standards.
- Practice safety standards consistently and report hazards immediately.
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned and capable of performing.
