Job summary

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to guide the daily operations of our housekeeping department and inspire a team dedicated to exceptional cleanliness and service.

Starting wage is $22.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a typical schedule 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Enjoy weekends and flexible scheduling based on occupancy and hotel needs.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required; hotel experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to coach, motivate, and support team members.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the housekeeping team throughout the day.
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and performance development.
• Conduct training on chemical usage, departmental policies, and standards of excellence.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Partner with Front Office to prioritize room availability and guest needs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
• Assist with payroll, inventory, and departmental organization.
• Oversee daily operations in the absence of leadership.

Description

The Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor's Club is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to support the daily operations of our Housekeeping department while inspiring a team committed to exceptional cleanliness and service.

Whether you're an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor or a Housekeeping Inspector, Lead Room Attendant, or hospitality professional ready to step into your first supervisory role, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to build your leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on the guest experience.

Starting Wage: $22.00-$24.00/hour, depending on experience

Typical Schedule: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Sunday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) with weekends and schedule flexibility based on hotel occupancy.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the housekeeping team throughout the day
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and performance development
• Conduct training and coaching sessions on chemical usage, departmental policies, and the various components of the Hay Adams Standards of Excellence
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet hotel cleanliness standards
• Partner with the Front Office to prioritize room availability and guest needs
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally
• Assist with payroll, inventory, and departmental organization
• Help oversee daily operations in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping or the Assistant Housekeeping Manager

What We're Looking For

• Previous housekeeping experience required; hotel experience strongly preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and support team members
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and stretching
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business demands
• Bilingual skills are a plus
