Job summary

Holiday Inn Resort Orlando-Lake Buena Vista seeks a Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor to help administer housekeeping in assigned areas, inspect guest rooms, and assist Room Attendants as needed. The role includes training responsibilities and coverage in the supervisor's absence.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in line with hotel standards and varying scheduling.
• Maintain proper appearance and wear the uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe, efficient operations.
• Inspect staff performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In absence of supervisors, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee end-of-day floor closing and restock room attendants’ carts with linen only.
• Ensure daily assignment records are completed and turned in on time.
• Maintain key control system.
• Assist supervision of Laundry and Housekeeping staff and uphold performance standards.
• Handle Lost and Found according to standards.
• Be familiar with Aimbridge policies and House Rules.
• Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, and courteous to guests and colleagues.
• Oversee appearance, cleanliness and orderliness of staff areas.
• Carry pager/radio to stay connected with Front Office/Engineering.
• Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Monitor carts, linen closets and stairways for cleanliness and orderliness.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager daily.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through until completion.
• Assist with training Room Attendants.
