Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, overseeing Room Attendants, Inspectors, Housepersons and support staff. You will maintain hotel cleanliness standards, coordinate daily assignments, and partner with Front Desk and leadership to ensure top service while coaching and training teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to complete assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Availability to work weekends based on operational needs.
• Physical requirements: stand for extended periods, up to eight hours per day; lift up to 25 pounds as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members while performing inspection and training duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Room Attendants, Inspectors, Housepersons, and other Housekeeping team members during daily operations.
• Monitor room assignments, productivity, room status, inspections, and completion of daily boards.
• Inspect guest rooms and hotel areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, safety, and service standards.
• Coordinate room priorities with Front Desk and hotel leadership.
• Communicate regularly through email, radio, phone, and department pass-downs and respond to operational needs in a timely manner.
• Use HMS, HotSOS, Workday, and Maintenance Connect to monitor rooms, communicate issues, manage timekeeping, and follow up on work orders.
• Create and adjust daily task sheets, assignments, projects, and staffing based on occupancy and business needs.
• Coach and train team members on cleaning standards, safety, PPE, chemicals, and department procedures.
• Address team member performance, attendance, conduct, and policy concerns; complete coaching/disciplinary documentation as needed.
• Assist with guest complaints and service recovery.
• Monitor hallways, linen closets, equipment, guest floors, and other areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Communicate and follow up with Facilities, Front Desk, Security, Laundry, Public Area as needed.
• Monitor inventory and equipment and report shortages or damage.
• Support new-hire training and ongoing development of staff.
• Complete required reports, inspections, and end-of-shift pass-downs.
